European leaders: Vladimir Putin

Major hand: right, b. 1952

There are a few things that strike one immediately when one looks at Putin’s hands.

(Undated photo of Vladimir Putin and his major hand)

Thick fingers, especially Jupiter and Mercury, and staggered joints of the Mercury finger. Such thick, clumsy, shortish fingers point to a cruel disposition, with lack of empathy, and those staggered joints are also pointing to neurodivergence. The thumb length is long, denoting self-mastery in general, but here, when seen in conjunction with those fingers, denote a man able in his cruelty and domineering tendencies. The lower phalanges are thick, indicating a man fond of sensual pleasures. The Mercury finger is long, indicating shrewdness. This is a common feature among politicians. The slightly knotty feature of many of the joints indicate a certain methodical way of thinking about an issue, but at the same time the fingers are relatively short, so some instinctiveness can also be found.

Let us look at this photo prior to 2011.

The life line indicates a double personality or double lifestyle led. One also sees a highly intolerant or narrow-minded man. However, a fine line of Mercury points to mental brilliance at the same time. The mount of Luna is bloated and the mount of Venus is large but ordinary, accentuating further the cold and cruel side of the subject as well as giving the indication of a guy who might like the company of beautiful women and sensual pleasures. Given Putin’s mount of Luna, one could also say that he is susceptible to drowning and suffering from kidney and/or bladder troubles. The head line is forked though, giving a certain range of thought, and one of the branches crosses the entire hand, indicating obsessive behaviour. The inner life line shows robust health and constitution for most of his life as well as excellent support from those in his inner circle or family. However, the end of his life, that is, the post-70 phase, shows a significant trouble to health or life, but with these photos, as the palms are bent, it is not easy to estimate a proper age point for these troubles.

A most interesting thing is the weak to nearly absent line of Saturn in the hand of someone who has been Russia’s top man for so many years. There is an Apollo line, and there is an excellent line of Mercury. Its meeting the life line indicates a certain delicacy at work in the body bursting into some illness at around the age of 64, but I don’t see anything on Wikipedia indicating any such past incident. The fate line’s near absence means a lack of drive, that is, a man who is doing something more out of inertia or peer pressure (from history?) guiding and goading him on rather than own motivation. The heart line already shows high idealism, and the Mercury line is strong. Thus, a picture emerges of a man driven by his idealism and bile, but, unfortunately, also someone cold and cruel. He is neither a political opportunist nor a political careerist: he indeed believes in much of what he says.
